I’ve always like creating my own websites. I tried to work out creating websites for other people. Once I finally landed a job making websites for other people I realized I didn’t like that part. I probably could fall back on creating websites for money but now… I don’t want to.
I consider creating websites fun. I like to build my own to give something to others. It is my own little way of contributing to the world. For that reason, I don’t put anything on my websites I don’t like or wouldn’t use.
For example, my own website for writers has freelance writing job lists. There is nothing on those lists I don’t use myself. In fact, I go back every day to go through my lists and see who is hiring. I also put get paid to blog and get paid to post job leads as I have often though of doing this on the sly.
In addition, I will soon be adding links to magazine’s and comic books I would like to write for. I won’t be putting the link to the main page though, just to the submission guidelines page.
I like all this organizing as it keeps me sane when I am trying to find the markets I like. Not even Writer’s Market has updated links to every day writing jobs. I bet anything I’ll have more links to comic book publishers once I’m done with my list. I already have twice as much.
What’s next? Greeting cards? We will see.
Anyways, tornados are hitting my area lately. Crazy. Will my house fly away?
